CORE MARKETS ¬

RETAIL

Retail

An important component of our local, state and national economies is the retail market. Consumers are interested in attractive, convenient markets and centers in which to do their shopping.

The recent housing boom has resulted in a wider variety of shopping centers. The competition can be fierce to attract customers and many developers are providing visitors with an ‘experience’ as they go about their shopping. Themed "neighborhoods" in malls, play areas, carnival rides and petting zoos for the kids, and the inclusion of upscale cuisine in the food courts are becoming more commonplace.

"Big Box" retailers are also aggressively pursuing development in growing communities and it’s not unusual for local shopping centers to be anchored by two and even three large chain retailers.

From the eclectic shopping destinations in Las Vegas, large regional malls, giant big box stores and neighborhood shopping centers, Converse has decades of experience providing siting and design recommendations as well as quality assurance/quality control testing and inspection services during construction.
