Project Inspector (IOR)

Converse has been providing special inspection to K-12 and community colleges since its inception. We abided with code and DSA requirements for these projects. Our inspectors have to go through the DSA certification process (Class 1, 2, 3 and In-Plant) before they are assigned to school projects.

Destructive and Non-Destructive Testing

The purpose of nondestructive testing is to verify that structural steel and/or completed welds are sound with respect to the given project criteria. Visual observation may not detect hidden fusion defects, cracking, and lamellar tearing. Since NDT tests are indirect (relying on a probing medium to disclose defects), accurate evaluation depends upon experienced, qualified personnel who are thoroughly trained in theory and applications. Converse has qualified NDT special inspectors performing standard test methods of nondestructive testing including ultrasonic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and radiographic.
